How to share videos with ease

Share Videos in an easy way

Sharing videos has become one of the most popular online pastimes. Just about every day, thousands of people use videos to show their family members and friends the things that they have recently done that they are proud of, or simply to keep them up to date on the latest developments in their lives. It is for this reason that entrepreneurs seek to make money by making the video sharing process much easier. Some of their companies will be described below. There are those that work with video sharing in general and others that specialize in sharing by smartphone.

Pantech Impact

The Pantech Impact is a phone on which sharing videos is quite easy. You can record the video even as you are talking on the phone by pressing “Options” and selecting “Live.” Or you can prerecord something and send it while you are talking by choosing it from among your files.

iMemories

iMemories is one of the easiest video sharing programs to use. There is no need to download or install any special software in order to use it. All you have to do is upload the videos from your digital camera, camcorder or smartphone to your iMemories account, which you can get for free. You can even preserve the contents of an old video cassette—we are entering the tapeless era, and cassettes can be permanently destroyed after a single listening, but once transferred they look as crystal clear as on the day that they were first made!

Lexar

From Lexar you can buy a full-HD video memory card for $29.99 and insert it into your camcorder or your “point and shoot” camera. The videos can be quickly transferred to your computer, where it can be backed up or put on Facebook or other social networking sites.

Glomera

Glomera is a site that has been specially designed for sharing educational material on video, advertizing itself as “the easiest way to create your professional TV.” You can customize the style and layout of your site and gather statistics on who views your videos and when they do so, enabling you to adapt your strategy to those who are most likely to watch them. Glomera even allows you to embed your videos in other websites and thus increase the chances of them being seen and looked at.

The Vimeo iPhone app

Vimeo has been one of the most prominent video-sharing sites since its inception in 2004. Recently, they have revamped their iPhone app so as to make viewing and uploading much easier. Hardly anyone used the editor function, so that has been eliminated. Videos are now uploaded in the background while the user fills in their names, where to share them and other details. If the phone connection should go down while a video is being uploaded, that is no problem—the upload is managed automatically and will continue where it left off when the connection is reestablished. The viewing is now tab-based rather than grid-based. It is easy to share the videos via email or social networking.

Go to the websites of any of the above products and buy them or, if possible, download them for free—and you will have yourself a fast, hassle-free way of sending videos of your most precious moments to your loved ones.

SEO Mistakes to Avoid Doing

As the blogging world is getting hits from all over the globe, the competition is getting tough day by day. To stand out from crowd, you must be good, not only in your articles, but your SEO tactics as well. I have seen many websites getting spoiled because of low rankings in search engine and this happens because of SEO mistakes that the website owners do. If you are also running any website, then go ahead and read this article to know about the top most SEO mistakes that spoil your websites ranking.

Irrelevant Backlinks

All of you know that to get success with your website, you need to have good PR. Backlinks decide about your website's page rank, But only with the relevant ones. Means there is not any benefit of getting a back link from a health related website while you are running tech or any other niche. This is called irrelevant linking and instead of showing any positive results, it always results in negative ones and thus spoils your website completely.

Keyword Stuffing

This is what the big G, Google and other search engines hate the most. Many of the website owners try to be over smart by using the wrong keywords just with the hunger to shine on the top of search results. Keyword Stuffing is the worst SEO mistake that any website owner do. There are many owners who perform that and then end up with the frustration over getting their sites banned from search engine listings. Come on, it's matter of common senses as well. Suppose you are writing an article about 'Web Designing' and there you are talking about the entertainment stuff, then to how much extent, this is good to do? Of course to zero. Not only the search engine will penalize you for this, but the readers will also not stay longer.

Poor Website Design

Some people don't care about their website's design and it's another big mistake. The theme is not for the appearance purposes only, but for the SEO as well. There are many websites which have got penalized by search engines, because of using a poor design. Come on, the website templates are available for free, choose one SEO friendly from them, rather than going for a poor random design.

Duplicate Content

Some people don't want to work hard and want to earn a huge success. The perfect examples are copy cats who just copy the articles from other websites and use on their own. The search engines detect them and spoil the website's ranking. The SEO starts from content and what one can do, if you have copied it from somewhere else.

No Internal Linking

Many people just write articles in their websites without doing any internal linking. Internal linking is must for the SEO point of view. And if you are not doing that, you will soon find your website in the Spoiled websites' list. Do you want it to happen?

5 Ways to Stay Protected When Working on Your Mobile Device

Posted On // Leave a Comment

Thanks to technology, we are no longer tied to our desks with wires to get our work done. However, with this freedom of becoming a mobile workforce we have also opened up a Pandora’s box of dangers to the security of the data on your mobile devices. There are several ways you can stay protected when working on your mobile device.

Security

1. Choose Secure Passwords
Regardless of what mobile device you are using, whether it is a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, you need to make sure you choose a secure password. Never choose one that is too obvious, like the name of your child or pet. Your best bet for a secure password is to choose one that has a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters if the device’s operating system allows it. There are tools available to check the strength of your password such as the one offered on HowSecureIsMyPassword[dot]net

2. Connect to Secure Networks if Possible
Chances are if you are connecting to free WiFi in your local coffee shop or hotel common areas, you are connecting to an open network. Ideally, you should only connect to networks that are secured by WPA or at least WEP encryption. Nonetheless, most free WiFi hotspots are not secure; therefore, you need to be vigilant to protect your data when you connect to them. Only connect to websites that are secured with SSL to avoid packet snooping on a public network that could allow others to see your confidential data. Be sure to avoid visiting your banking or credit card websites from unsecured networks, also.

3. Block Access to Your Devices
Make sure you have your firewall enabled to block unauthorized access to your devices. Most laptops and tablets already have a firewall installed, but you can also find protection for your other devices from companies such as Symantec and McAfee. Keep up-to-date with all your operating system, application, and antivirus software on all your devices to prevent access through the latest viruses or hacking methods. Be sure to configure your Bluetooth options to block unauthorized access.

4. Don’t Store Confidential Data on Your Mobile Devices
There is no need to travel around with seven years’ worth, or let alone even a copy of your last year’s tax returns on your mobile devices. Leave that information at home, safely stored away from prying eyes or in the event your device is lost or stolen. If you must keep sensitive information on your devices, make sure that it is encrypted to save yourself the headache of confidential information falling into the wrong hands.

5. Keep a Backup of Your Data
You should always make sure that keep a backup of your mobile devices in a secure location. When we say secure, we mean not in its case or your briefcase where it can get lost, stolen, or damaged. Keep a copy at home or in your office so that it is readily available if and when you need it. A backup solution to consider is using an online backup service such as what is offered by Carbonite or similar vendor that can be accessed from anywhere.

By following these suggestions, you can make working on your mobile devices a safer experience. It may be a jungle out there with people who think nothing of stealing your information for their personal gain, but you do have easy options to protect yourself.

Top reasons to use cloud computing with multiple devices

Posted On // Leave a Comment

Reasons for using Cloud Computing

One of the core benefits of cloud computing is the ability to automatically sync data across any devices you use to connect to the application. There are a number of reasons why this is useful, and why you should consider cloud computing when you utilize several devices for access.

Automatically synced data
Cloud computing means your data is automatically synced across any device. That’s because you’re not accessing data stored on your own device, but you’re tapping into a remote server. No more sending file attachments to yourself via email; everything you need is right at your fingertips, regardless of where you are.

Accessed from anywhere
When you’re using the cloud, you have instant access to all your data. It’s stored remotely, so you can access your personal or company information from any Web-enabled device.  No more pre-meeting calls to obtain the most recent statistics – users can even pull up information from a laptop live during a presentation.

No special software necessary
One of the biggest problems with traditional, on-premise solutions is that you must have the same applications stored on the devices you want to connect with. If you need access to an on-premise application and you don’t have a mobile app, you’re out of luck. Like your data, the software programs run in the cloud are stored remotely.

The Apple vs. PC debate is null and void
If your company utilizes a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) model, you likely have some users with the Apple’s iOS platform and some with Android-based devices. Ordinarily, this could be a concern for tapping into on-premise applications and solutions. With cloud-based apps, however, it’s a non-issue—the only thing needed to connect with these applications is an Internet connection.

Easy collaboration with team members
Because data and documents are automatically synced, multiple users can collaborate on a single document with ease, without the need to send files back and forth and merge changes. Team members in different office locations can even work simultaneously on the same document, in many cases, with seamless and automatic data merging so every person with access is always viewing the most recently updated version.

Remote work more functional
Business travel and remote work used to be a challenge. How can you provide your team with the tools they need on the road? Before cloud computing, enterprises were faced with ensuring proper installation on all devices used as well as manual data feeds. Now it’s easier than ever to work in the field with cloud-based apps that offer immediate updates, no software installation and automated collaboration.

Automated backup and recovery
Picture this: You’re on the road, furiously working on a document on your way to a meeting. Suddenly, your mobile device loses connection—and all that data you just added is gone. This kind of thing happens, and if you’re working with a file stored on-premise on your device, you could be out of luck. But if you’re working in the cloud, your data is likely saved as you go, meaning your data remains intact even if a sudden mishap occurs.
If you’re in any type of situation in which you must access a set of data from multiple devices, nothing is more functional than using the cloud. Productivity is amplified by reducing the painstaking administrative tasks of transferring data back and forth, leaving you—and your team—to focus on what’s important knowing the needed data is at your fingertips and up-to-date from any device.

Building a Winning Hand in Poker

Posted On // Leave a Comment

No matter which version of poker you are playing, the game mechanics are always the same. You are dealt a series of cards against other players, or the house, and whoever has the most valuable hand wins that round. Poker, whichever variation you are playing, is the simplest game, in terms of wins or losses. When you are sitting at the table, or looking at your screen for online gaming, you want to be certain you are setting up a win you can easily walk away with. Yes, you can bluff a poor hand, but being able to identify you have a winning hand will make your win streak that much higher. Here is the list of the hands for poker in their ranking order.

A Pair

These are two cards that have the same face value. These do not have to be matching colors; the face of each card just has to match. While this is better than nothing, there are multiple hands which are higher than a pair and your chances of winning with just this are slim.

Two Pairs

Same as a single pair, these are two sets of pairs that have the same face value. It is slightly better than holding just a pair, but there are other hands which can ensure your win.

Three of a Kind

This hand contains three cards of the same face value. If there is another person who is also holding a three of a kind set then the person with the highest card value wins the hand.

A Straight

A straight hand contains all five cards in numerical order. This hand does not require that the cards are the same suit.

A Flush

For this hand, each card has to have the same suit. They do not have to be in numerical order.

A Full House

A full house contains a combination of three of a kind and a pair. For example: three Jacks and two cards with the face value of ten.

Four of a Kind

Similar to the pair or the three of a kind hand, the four of a kind has four cards with matching face values.

Straight Flush

The second highest hand you can hold in the game, a straight flush is the combination of the straight and flush hands. It is all of your cards in numerical order and in the same suit.

Royal Flush

This is the highest hand you can hold in any poker game. It is similar to the straight flush, but instead of the sequence starting from any number it must contain an ace, a king, the queen, a jack, and a ten card, all in the same suit. It is the highest hand to hold in the game due to its difficulty to accomplish in any poker game.

Now that you are aware of each of the hands available in a poker game, you can ensure your win ratio by working towards the best hand possible.
